  • ART Single Rescuer: Nacelle, Tower & Basement Rescue

The GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) modules prepare wind technicians to perform complex rescue operations in some of the most challenging areas of a wind turbine. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and realistic practical exercises, participants learn to safely extract injured personnel from the hub, spinner, blade interior, nacelle, tower, and basement. These modules build on the foundational Working at Height competencies and introduce more advanced rescue methods, equipment, and decision-making skills required for high-risk, confined, and elevated environments.

In addition to team-based rescues, ART also includes specialized training for single-rescuer scenarios, enabling technicians to conduct solo extractions when immediate action is necessary. By mastering industry-standard advanced rescue techniques across multiple turbine locations, participants enhance their capability to respond effectively to emergencies and improve overall site safety. This comprehensive training ensures that wind technicians are equipped to handle demanding rescue situations with confidence, precision, and a commitment to protecting life in the field.
