Solar Advanced
Training Overview
- Power Electronics V2 (PE V2)
- GE Flex
- GE UL1
The purpose of this course is to provide the technician with advanced troubleshooting skills to meet the specific operational needs of each solar site. Teammates will incorporate critical thinking skills when diagnosing complex inverter, DC field, tracking, and medium voltage system faults. The training will explore best practices and in-depth analysis when executing difficult troubleshooting scenarios. The use of software and monitoring tools to aid in diagnosing faulted equipment is brought to the forefront of each scenario. At the completion of this course, the student will understand how to view, interpret, and utilize software platforms, data, and tools required to diagnose and resolve complicated system faults.
Training Content
Critical thinking skills, advanced troubleshooting practices, software and monitoring platform familiarization, remote troubleshooting procedures, data analysis and performance monitoring, interpreting system data and site metrics to predict failures and optimize plant performance, identifying frequently faulting inverters or trackers, trending variables that lead to potential failures, diagnosing complex DC and AC system interactions, and taking preventative action to avoid equipment failures.
