This course provides an understanding of multiple OEM turbine platforms.  The technician will gain the knowledge required for diagnosing down turbine fault repairs and executing troubleshooting procedures to restore the equipment to an operating condition. Additionally, the technician will learn the skills necessary to perform removal and replacement activities to become efficient in replacing identified faulty equipment.  

Training Content

Components identification, schematic reading, troubleshooting techniques, converter operation, generator theory, communication networks, component replacement, safety chain operation, emergency stop circuitry, pitch system operation, motor and generator testing, medium voltage switching, and safely returning equipment to operation.
